Strečnianska mašľa
Strečno and Malá Fatra mountains are the inseparable twins that the tourist club KST UHLÍK Strečno decided to unite in this event for all lovers of mountain ultra-marathons and long-distance marches. They have prepared - the Strečnianska mašľa (Strečno Bow) - 50 km around Strečno with almost 3000 meters of elevation gain.
The Strečnianska mašľa route goes along the marked hiking trails of Krivánská and Lúčanská Mala Fatra. The Krivánská Mala Fatra loop leads through the protected areas of the Malá Fatra National Park. The race in 2025 will be held on Saturday, June 14th.
There are 5 aid station on the 51 km course - in the Kúr valley, at the Chata pod Suchým challet, in Strečno village, in the Javorina col and next to the Višňové village. On top of this there are two checkpoints at the highest points of the course - Suchý and Minčol.
A part of the event is also a 25 km trail running race with total elevation gain 1700 meters, which makes the 2nd half of the ultra trail course.
Strečnianska mašľa (51 km course) is a part of the 11th edition of Slovak Ultrail League. The course will been certified by ITRA will be contained in the list of ITRA National League.
